This has been a very exciting month, the first few weeks have been pretty solid training for me,having added in a long course session at Guildford on a Saturday morning this has allowed me to really work on my back end long course pace which many swimmers will agree is a killer!!

Racing starts again towards the end of the month as i head off to Hungary (Debrecen) for the European Championships where i will be swimming the 100m Freestyle. Its a great opportunity to race some really fast swimmers.

I will be training right through it and will be unrested so hoping to get as close to my seasons bests as I can.

One of the perks of making a Olympic team is the fundraising events you get to attend and on Friday 11th I was lucky enough to be invited to the Royal Albert Hall for ‘Our Greatest Team Rises’ event, I love a good excuse to get really dressed up as you can see from the photo below. It was a fantastic night where I met lots of great sporting hero’s including Amy Williams who won Skeleton Gold at the recent Winter Olympics.Seeing the likes of Will Young,Tony Hadley,The Noisettes and Gary Barlow will live with for a long time.

Unfortunately it wasn't all play as I had to be in Guildford for training by 9am the following morning!!!
